Description

RPO Recruitment's client, a leading QS consulting firm in KwaZulu-Natal, is currently looking to hire a qualified and experienced Professional QS to join their successful team in Durban as soon as possible and contribute positively to their projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare cost plans and elemental estimates from architectural drawings.
2. Develop overall budgets, including services engineering budgets.
3. Measure BOQs for principal and subcontract tender documentation, draft contract conditions, and compile tender preliminaries.
4. Control costs and budgets for principal and subcontracts throughout the project, including monthly valuation, project payment summaries, and monthly cost reporting.
5. Measure and negotiate final accounts with principal contractors and subcontractors.

Requirements:

• BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the commercial sector.
• Pr QS registration with SACQSP or RICS.
• Experience in the private commercial sector, including hospitality, offices, retail, and multistorey residential projects.
• Proficiency in WinQS and DimX.
• Understanding of escalation implementation within the industry.
• Basic knowledge of financial feasibility structuring.
• Understanding of the JBCC construction contract and its implementation.
• Knowledge of contract value engineering.
• Excellent emotional intelligence.
