JOB OPPORTUNITY

Future Planning and Resilience Policy and Strategy

Basic Salary: R507 320 PER ANNUM

Requirements:

• Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification (a master’s degree

is preferable), with a preference for the fields of statistics and

data science.

• At least three (3) years’ relevant functional experience

required.

• Sound knowledge of statistical methods and quantitative data

analysis and modelling.

Key Performance Areas:

• To support the analysis of urban data and information relevant

to strategy, policy and planning to inform decision-making.

• Apply statistical methods and tools to support data analysis

and interpretation of urban development trends.

• To assist with the collection of socio-economic data through

household surveys and other primary research methods, data

management and related processes ensuring robust data

governance frameworks to maintain accuracy and quality.

• Preparing data for reporting, profiles, dashboards, maps,

and other urban development information products

• Supporting responses to data and information requests from

stakeholders, and assisting in the preparation of reports

and visualisations

• Participating in data-related working groups, engagements,

and supporting the communication of information outputs.

• Contributing to continuous improvement by maintaining

awareness of relevant tools, technologies, and data practices.
