The City of Cape Town offers an opportunity for a qualified Civil Engineer specializing in Urban Mobility. The role involves project implementation for road and stormwater infrastructure, project management, and development approvals. A minimum of three to five years' experience in relevant areas is required, along with a BSc/BEng or BTech qualification. This is a pivotal role in enhancing urban infrastructure, contributing significantly to the community's transport requirements.

BASIC SALARY: R507 320 PER ANNUM
Requirements:
• A BSc / BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering
• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years’ relevant experience in the
survey, geometric design, service design, contract
documentation, construction and maintenance of civil
engineering infrastructucture
• Demonstrable knowledge of roads and stormwater design,
project management, contracts, materials, method and
methodologies, including infrastructure management
• Experience in the assessment of land use
management/development applications to establish
conditions of approval for all developments, will
be advantageous.
• Eligible for Professional registration with the Engineering Council
of South Africa (ECSA)
• A valid Code B driver’s licence.
Key Performance Areas:
• Compile schedules for candidate projects for the provision
of roads, structures, stormwater, lane markings, signs, street
furniture, parking areas, etc.
• Implement projects for the provision of new and/or upgraded
infrastructure for transport, roads and stormwater and spatial
planning
• Provide roads and stormwater input and guidance into
development approvals.
• Facilitate the issuing of wayleaves and permits to service
authorities and contractors.
• Assist in coordinating the district’s infrastructure implementation
plans.
