Mediclinic Southern Africa is seeking a qualified nurse to deliver safe, comprehensive nursing care in a multi-disciplinary team. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation and creating a positive patient experience.

The incumbent will also focus on staff development, stock control and adherence to the scope of practice. A degree/diploma in General Nursing is essential, with preferred further qualifications in midwifery or related specialties.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Degree / Diploma in General Nursing

DESIRED EDUCATION: Midwifery; Postgraduate certificate/ diploma in relevant specialty area

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: : 1 year post-graduate qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Infection prevention and control
• Pharmacology
• Scientific nursing principles and process
• Nursing processes and procedures
• Develop/ modify a nursing care plan
• Basic life support trained (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialised wards)
