Job summary

Mediclinic Southern Africa is seeking a Professional Nurse to deliver safe, comprehensive care in collaboration with a multi-professional team. The successful candidate will lead nursing teams to enable optimal patient care and uphold the Scope of Practice regulations.

Responsibilities include delivering quality care, managing risks to patient safety, and maintaining accurate nursing records, while supporting staff development and stock control in a high-standard clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Essential: Diploma leading to registration as a General Nurse or 4-year Nursing Diploma/Bachelor of Nursing.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing or Advanced Diploma in Midwifery is desirable for specialist units.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:

Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Midwifery

Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (e.g. Critical Care, Emergency Care, Peri-oprative Nursing) if place in a specialist unit
