Minimum Requirements

• Matric certificate (NQF level 4)
• Diploma/Degree in General Nursing, Midwifery, and Community Health Services (NQF level 7)
• Diploma in Clinical Assessment, Treatment and Care and Mental Health at NQF level 7 (advantageous)
• SANC registration
• 3 years post-basic experience in a primary health care setting
• Valid driver’s license

Primary Function

Apply procedural nursing sequences related to diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, evaluation, and control of communicable diseases. Participate in community awareness initiatives and personal development interventions by disseminating health advice and information to ensure objectives of affordable and cost-effective health care are met.

Key Performance Areas

1. Provide comprehensive Primary Health Care Services by assessing, diagnosing, treating, and referring patients, aligned with the National Core Package and Priority Programmes.
2. Participate in the design and delivery of health awareness campaigns at clinic and community levels.
3. Conduct administrative processes and procedures efficiently.
4. Implement activities related to comprehensive health care services at Primary Health Care facilities, complying with MFMA and relevant legal frameworks.
5. Initiate and maintain community and intersectoral collaboration at clinic/regional levels.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders including support partners, NGOs, and community structures.
7. Ensure quality assurance, accurate recording, and reporting.
8. Compile data reports regularly.
