POSITION INFO: Job Purpose

To provide comprehensive nursing care and management for the nursing treatment and rehabilitation for all health problems of individuals, groups, and communities as a practitioner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing comprehensive primary health care services to the community including TB/HIV care, mother and child services, and general check-ups.
  • Implementing and monitoring various programmes.
  • Providing reproductive health exams and education.
  • Providing pre-natal and post-natal services.
  • Improving the health of the community through health education.
  • Implementing health and safety best practices and monitoring trends.
  • Liaising with the healthcare manager and other healthcare organisations.

Requirements (non-negotiable):

  • Matric.
  • Diploma in Nursing / B.Curr.
  • Dispensing License.
  • Qualified Professional Nurse / Midwifery Nurse.
  • 3-5 years experience as a professional nurse working in community healthcare or midwifery.
