About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly reliable and experienced Professional Driver with strong logistical capabilities to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg . This hybrid role requires an individual who can not only operate vehicles safely and efficiently but also contribute to the coordination and planning of transport routes. You will be instrumental in ensuring timely deliveries and pickups, maintaining fleet readiness, and acting as a key point of contact for dispatch operations, blending hands-on driving with essential administrative duties to support seamless supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate various company vehicles safely and responsibly in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Plan and optimize daily delivery and pickup routes using navigation tools and logistics software.
• Coordinate with the dispatch team to manage schedules, confirm deliveries, and address any transportation issues in real-time.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any mechanical issues or required maintenance promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, deliveries, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmation.
• Assist in loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling and security.

Requirements

• Valid Professional Driver's Permit (PDP) and a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional driver, preferably in logistics or delivery services.
