Production Worker - Packaging

Our team has an immediate opening for a Production Worker in the Packaging Department!

This is a first shift position Monday to Friday with hours from 6am to 2:30pm.

The Production Worker's main responsibility is to pack materials and products manually and by machine for warehouse storage and/or customer delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Cleans packaging containers, lines, and pads boxes, and assembles cartons.
2. Obtains and sorts product, places in cavities, and assembles components according to material lists.
3. Wraps protective material around the product.
4. Inserts or pours product into containers or fills containers from spout or chute.
5. Measures and adjusts quantities.
6. Labels containers, cartons, products.
7. Sorts bundles or filled containers.
8. Packs special arrangements or selections of product.
9. Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of the packaging process.
10. Records information such as quantity, time, date, and obtains approving initials.
11. May stack, separate, count, pack, wrap, and weigh products.
12. Some products require final assembly prior to packing.
13. Most responsibilities are performed while sitting.
14. Operation of ZED cavity packaging machine requires standing.

Not all packagers will operate ZED or drill press.

All packagers are expected to perform assemblies. Operate ZED cavity packaging machine; heat sealing machine; computer and label printer; labeling gun; scale; drill press; vacuum fill; lamination; copier; calculator; cutters (compressed air & paper).

Job Specifications

1. Willing to apply for a passport.
2. Willing to travel and work overseas in Poland.
3. Previous working experience in a production environment.
4. Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
5. Attention to detail with good organizational skills.
6. High School diploma or equivalent.
