Job description

We are seeking a motivated Production Technician to join our client in the packaging manufacturing industry.

Location : Ottery, Cape Town

Type : Full-time, Temporary (3-6 months)

Pay : R56.25 per hour

Qualifications :

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare production consumables (e.g., Teflon).
• Ensure machines are ready for production (perform Teflon changes, seal wire inspections, and sealing head setups).
• Set up machines (plugging in power, pneumatic connections, and testing operations).
• Organize machine layout (moving tables and machines as needed).
• Assist with machine maintenance (tightening bolts, replacing simple parts).
• Follow safe operating practices while working on machinery.
• Maintain high levels of housekeeping in the work area.
• Utilize problem-solving techniques to diagnose and rectify equipment issues, seeking support when necessary.
