Job summary

A multinational industrial refrigeration company in Johannesburg is seeking a Solutions Driven Design Engineer. The successful candidate will ensure compliance of trial products and execute design changes. Key responsibilities include owning product designs, creating Creo CAD models, and collaborating with teams on technical specifications. A diploma in Engineering and at least 5 years of experience are required, along with expertise in Creo and knowledge of refrigeration systems.

Multinational industrial refrigeration co has a vacancy for the abovementioned solutions driven individual who will ensure that trial products comply to the specifications and that design changes are executed accurately. POSITION INFO : Responsibilities :

Ensure trial product to full compliance as per Technical File and all design changes are executed accordingly.

The successful candidate must be able to perform the following key tasks :

100% Ownership of design for products under responsibilities.

Implement Specifications & Distribute as per Product Design road map.

Design and create Creo CAD models when required.

Create Draft BOMs for created new model coolers.

Checking the technical files & conduct design reviews with cross functional teams.

Revise drawings as per latest Technical Files & its supplements.

Checking of revised drawings to ensure compliance.

Conduct and assist with product trial, Pr. Pr. & Pilot.

Support with any design changes required.

Requirements :

Min Diploma Degree in Technical / Engineering.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineer

Good command in English, both written & spoken

Computer literate with expertise in

Creo (Advanced part modelling, assembly, piping, drawing, sheet metal)

Knowledge of plastics and sheet metal parts manufacturing Process.

Knowledge in refrigeration system an added advantage (preferable)

Mathematical ability and strong computer skills.
