Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your operational and leadership expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and dynamic team of professionals.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, quality, cost-effective, and on-time production delivery within your assigned Elementary Production Unit (EPU). Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business, including project management, engineering, sourcing, supply chain, and quality, to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

You’ll specifically take care of leading and coordinating daily manufacturing activities, but also supervising operators and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Allocating daily work to operators and monitoring progress, productivity, and adherence to standard work practices.
  • Driving adherence to APSYS tools and continuous improvement initiatives within the EPU.
  • Ensuring operational readiness and addressing production constraints to meet planned output, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinating operator training, onboarding, and skills development to maintain a competent and engaged workforce.
  • Monitoring SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) indicators and implementing corrective actions to achieve targets.
  • Facilitating root-cause analysis and supporting the implementation of corrective actions to resolve production issues.
All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Secondary education with a trade qualification in Welding or Boiler Making/N3 (mandatory).
  • A technical degree would be considered an advantage.
  • Previous experience in an operational industrial environment, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • Previous experience supervising people in a blue-collar environment
  • Proven ability to deliver against master production schedules and manage blue-collar labor in a unionized environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, technologies, and special processes.
  • Familiarity with lean management tools, EHS regulations, and industrial management practices.
  • Sound leadership skills, including adaptability, inclusivity, and a commitment to responsibility.
  • Experience in the railway industry or industrialization environment is desirable but not essential.
