SUMMARY:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing, controlling, and coordinating all employees and machinery within their area of responsibility. The role involves overseeing the production process to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals and operational requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
- National Diploma in Operations Management or relevant field (advantageous)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in steel processing, component manufacturing, or production management in a supervisory capacity
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transport
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel; SAP Job Card experience beneficial
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong technical understanding of automotive steel types and processing methods
- Sound knowledge of the OHS Act and quality control procedures
- Ability to work shifts and overtime when required
Key Performance Areas:
Financial Control
- Plan and execute responsibilities in a cost-effective manner to support business growth and profitability.
- Monitor and manage the use of consumables, labour allocation, and overtime.
Supervision & Operational Control
- Ensure efficient supervision and control of all departmental activities within company guidelines and performance targets.
Human Resource Management
- Effectively manage staff within the team regarding utilization, performance, motivation, discipline, and team cohesion in collaboration with management.
Quality Assurance
- Enforce quality standards and procedures as outlined in company policies and work instructions.
Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure timely, accurate, and complete recording of operational data and compile relevant performance reports.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards without exception.
Planning & Coordination
- Ensure structured and effective planning of resources and responsibilities to meet production targets.
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend and implement improvements in processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Maintain and continuously improve housekeeping standards.
