About the Role

Our client, a significant player in the building materials manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to manage operations at their George facility. This role is critical for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring targets for output, quality, and safety are met consistently. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to effectively manage a production team. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.
• Manage and motivate a team of production operators, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure production targets for volume, quality, and timeliness are consistently met.
• Implement and enforce all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the production floor.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain operational standards.
• Train and mentor new and existing team members on production procedures and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and quality control data.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and logistics, to ensure seamless operations.
• Address and resolve any production-related issues or conflicts promptly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and production line management.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in an industrial setting.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Office.
