THE JOB AT A GLANCE :

• Contract Duration: Permanent
• Responsible for managing the operational aspects of a production / Slicing department.
• Play a critical role in ensuring manufacturing meets its production targets by ensuring smooth and efficient production and slicing processes.
• Drive and maintain Team Connect and Shop Floor development systems.

What You Will Do

1. Supervise day-to-day operations of the production department and staff.
2. Manage shop floor and ensure adequate operator coverage.
3. Oversee production process, draft and adhere to production schedules/bake plans.
4. Drive shift performance indicators.
5. Check product quality to meet standards.
6. Coach and develop employees.
7. Oversee maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime.
8. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
9. Identify training needs and organize training sessions for workers.
10. Monitor productivity and product standards, and implement quality and food safety programs as per FSSC.
11. Collaborate with supervisors and staff to optimize productivity.
12. Drive daily Team Connect sessions.
13. Communicate issues or concerns to upper management promptly.
14. Drive team engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :

• Matric or equivalent qualification
• National Diploma / NQF 4 in Production preferred
• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience in FMCG environment
• Knowledge of GMP, Food, Health & Safety, and OIM advantageous
• Basic knowledge of production / slicing processes and machinery
• Computer literacy in MS Office
• Experience in team leadership
