Production Supervisor

Job description :

1. Ensure that staff in his line work according to your and the production managers' instructions.
2. Ensure that the employees under you work efficiently.
3. Ensure that the staff's quality of work meets specifications.
4. Ensure that the specific work instructions of the operation he/she is working at (as directed by Management) are followed correctly and promptly.
5. Follow all company policies and procedures.
6. Be responsible for the quality and accuracy of your work.
7. Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimal operation.
8. Troubleshoot problems during machine operation.
9. Perform random tests to ensure accuracy.
10. Perform safety checks on every machine.
11. Ensure that machines produce quality products by managing periodic checks on output.
12. Provide relevant information regarding progress to managers.
13. Handle materials within the shop and outdoors as required.
14. Perform work safely and follow established work procedures.
15. Work with the dispatch team.

People and Safety :

1. Provide excellent leadership and management to the production team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
2. Interact effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
3. Supervise employees in the manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
4. Manage human capital, including addressing absenteeism and disciplinary matters.
5. Process incident/accident reports and ensure timely reporting of safety incidents.
6. Facilitate training and development initiatives for production employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Operations :

1. Oversee safe and efficient production processes, meeting plant KPIs and targets.
2. Track downtime and plan maintenance activities to minimize disruptions.
3. Monitor production quality and implement corrective actions as necessary.
4. Drive initiatives to minimize waste and promote a 'right first-time' approach.
5. Work overtime as required to meet production demands.

Experience & Qualifications :

1. 3+ years as a Production Supervisor in the manufacturing industry.
2. Minimum Matric qualification.
