Production Planner

Location: Midrand, South Africa

Main Responsibilities

1. Develop and manage production schedules (MPS & Shift) using SAP and Excel to meet demand within inventory, OEE, allergen, cost, and efficiency targets.
2. Distribute production plans timely to support MRP requirements.
3. Communicate any constraints impacting demand or customer service effectively.
4. Monitor and report on production plan adherence by SKU and participate in all production meetings.
5. Schedule new product launches and discontinuations efficiently, minimizing write-offs.
6. Maintain and clarify production parameters and data within SAP.
7. Maximize SAP utilization for production planning and scheduling.
8. Create ad hoc management reports as needed.
9. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Candidate Profile

• Solid experience in supply chain roles involving customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Practical experience in production planning within an FMCG or food industry environment.
• Degree in Industrial, Supply Chain, Business, or Accounting.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder influence skills.
• Excellent presentation skills and proactive contribution to customer presentations.
• Experience managing Continuous Improvement (CI) projects in a dynamic setting.
• Team player with the ability to operate within a matrix structure.
• Flexible, innovative problem solver.
• Exposure to ERP/SAP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Desire to build a career in Supply Chain.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
