Job description

Production Manager required for a Water Treatment company based in Witbank - eMalahleni Water Reclamation Plant (EWRP).
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for managing and implementing operations systems, processes, and monitoring activities for the water treatment plant.

Key Performance Areas:
  1. Manage production team
  2. Ensure compliance with contractual quality and quantity KPIs
  3. Maintain effective administration and control procedures to meet performance objectives
  4. Continuous improvement and optimization of processes
  5. Manage stock control
  6. Monitor and report on all process aspects and ongoing projects
  7. Ensure efficient resource management of employees to meet performance objectives
  8. Ensure client satisfaction through professional and high-quality service
  9. Conduct client feedback meetings and reporting
  10. Prepare monthly plant reports and attend client meetings
  11. Monitor plant health and proactively intervene to optimize plant availability
  12. Report to the operations manager
  13. Represent the company legally on site
Background, Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:
  • Qualifications: BSc in Chemical Engineering or S4 Chemical Engineering diploma
  • 5+ years' experience in advanced water treatment processes
  • Experience with softening, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis
  • Understanding of plant health and water treatment assets management
  • Relevant management experience
  • Proven track record of satisfactory performance
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, databases, PowerPoint, email
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Skills in planning, attention to detail, and troubleshooting processes
  • Ethical and responsible behavior
  • Innovative and accountable
  • Client management skills
