Job summary

Vumilia Africa Group in Johannesburg is seeking a Production and Quality Assurance Lead to manage daily production plans, oversee output and ensure SOPs are followed.

You will drive continuous improvement, lead lean manufacturing initiatives, and coordinate with other departments to address quality issues while maintaining safety standards.

The role includes coaching the team, driving performance, and reporting on production and quality metrics to senior management.

Ensure production SOPs are reviewed and executed correctly

Streamline and manage production workflows

Monitor daily production plan and oversee output

Manage production schedule and nonconformities

Set and monitor daily performance targets

Replenish raw materials as required

Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System

Assist with quality control standards and ensure output meets quality standards

Partner with other departments to address quality issues

Support internal quality audits and ensure closure of findings

Manage team performance and ensure clear communication

Provide technical support to supervisors and team leaders

Improve absenteeism and ensure accurate payroll submissions

Conduct performance reviews and ensure policy compliance

Organize and implement continuous improvement projects

Lead lean manufacturing initiatives and monitor performance indicators

Implement visual management systems and drive cost reduction

Report on production and quality metrics

Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are maintained
