Job summary

A leading glass manufacturing company in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee all aspects of the production process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, excellent leadership skills, and a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires at least 5 years of experience in production management and strong knowledge of manufacturing and safety standards.

Production Manager - Glass Manufacturing

A well-established glass manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of the production process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, excellent leadership skills, and a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily production operations to ensure targets, quality standards, and deadlines are met.
  • Manage and coordinate production staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety standards on the production floor.
  • Monitor production costs and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with procurement, quality control, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate production records and prepare regular reports for senior management.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a production management or supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and health & safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Production/Operations Management, Engineering, or related field (advantageous).
