Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, lead, and control a team
- Produce according to a program and maintain quality standards
- Train staff to meet required standards
- Manage employee performance
- Coordinate with internal and external retail partners (inter-departmental liaison)
- Handle IR/HR responsibilities, including discipline and wages
- Address staff issues empathetically
- Relevant sewing experience is a necessity/advantageous
Experience and Qualifications
- Matric/Grade 12 or relevant tertiary education
- Diploma in production is advantageous
- Participative leadership skills
- 3-5 years supervisory experience
- Proficiency in PC skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word
- Good understanding of production analysis and flow
- Target and quality-oriented
- Ability to adapt to change
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in the furniture manufacturing industry and quality environment
