Job description

Production Manager required in Stellenbosch.

An experienced Production Manager is required to be responsible for managing filling and production activities of cosmetic skin- and body care products in an effective and efficient manner, so that the company is assured of an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements for top-tier products in a demanding industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with other managers to formulate and plan objectives and understand requirements.
  • Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines using the company’s bespoke ERP system.
  • Monitor production to resolve issues.
  • Supervise, optimise and evaluate performance of production personnel.
  • Plan production resources.
  • Manage equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure output meets quality standards.
  • Enforce health and safety precautions.
  • Enforce workplace hygiene standards.
  • Enforce operational standards and process flows.
  • Control production materials- and products storerooms.
  • Report to upper management.
  • Use initiative to improve the work environment.
  • General tasks as instructed to the benefit of the employer.

Requirements:

  • Matric with relevant qualifications

  • Knowledge of production management.
