A leading manufacturing company seeks a Production Manager to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess an engineering degree and extensive managerial experience in a continuous manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards while maximizing productivity. The ideal candidate must have a Degree (BSc, B.Eng. in Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering). They should have at least 5 years of experience in a Production or Process discipline within a continuous process manufacturing environment, and 3 years in a management or leadership role. Knowledge of ISO9000, ISO14000, and OHSAS18000 systems is required. Computer literacy and WCM experience are preferred for internal applicants. Excellent communication skills are essential, and experience working in a unionized environment will be an advantage.
TO MAKE SURE NOTHING IS FORGOTTEN:
This role involves managing and coordinating direct reports and manufacturing activities, utilizing systems knowledge of product functions, WCM methodology, procedures, and machine and equipment capabilities. Provide leadership and direction to the manufacturing facility, overseeing plant production, materials, equipment, and tools to ensure efficiency, and ensuring projects remain on schedule. Maximize Yield, OEE, TE, and EHS performance, while minimizing unplanned stops, breakdowns, and HERCAs through continuous improvement methods, technology, equipment, materials, and collaboration with key stakeholders.
