Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Production Manager. The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of the production process at our Tissue Converting factory, ensuring that production runs efficiently, meets quality standards, and adheres to safety and regulatory guidelines. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the production team, optimizing manufacturing processes, and collaborating with other departments to meet production goals and improve overall factory performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Production Management: Oversee the entire production process, ensuring the manufacturing of toilet paper products is done efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and manage production staff, including shift leaders and machine operators, ensuring proper training, development, and performance management.
  • Scheduling & Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while maximizing productivity.
  • Quality Control: Monitor product quality throughout the production process, ensuring compliance with all quality standards and specifications.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, identifying hazards, and conducting regular safety training and inspections.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, improve production efficiency, and lower operating costs.
  • Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory and procurement teams to ensure raw materials are available, track stock levels, and manage production material needs.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Address production issues, resolve technical problems on the floor, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate production records and reports, including machine downtime, production output, and quality control data. Provide regular updates to senior management on production performance.
  • Budget Management: Assist in managing the production budget, ensuring cost control, and contributing to strategies for reducing operational costs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., maintenance, quality assurance, logistics) to ensure seamless operations across the factory.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the paper or tissue industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in production planning and inventory management software.
  • A degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages especially Excel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the factory floor for extended periods.
  • Be prepared to work out of normal when necessary
  • Comfortable working in a factory setting with machinery and potential noise.
