Job description

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the production process within the company and to ensure that production lines run without any problems and minimum downtime.

Responsible for implementing and developing new production processes and technologies, you will also be expected to run their respective factory autonomously while meeting daily production targets and ensuring the output of exceptional quality.Responsibilities : Develop, evaluate and improve current manufacturing processes.Drive process optimization and cost saving initiatives.Liaise with Management on improvements in your section and drive to continuously improve the efficiency of your department.Issue and report each battery produced (SAP).Ensure that new employees are trained, and refresher training is done on a yearly basis or if amendments or changes are made to existing models.Organise, monitor and control staff and overtime and manage overtime request processes.Optimise capacity planning and processes.Manage staff requirements and direct the production team.Ensure safety of all staff members in the production facility.Adhere to the OHS act at all times, creating a safety culture within the team.Implement standard operating procedures for production.Optimise capacity planning and processes.Minimum Requirements : MatricNQF Level 6 diploma / Advanced certificate.5-8 years production experience at management level.A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality work.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionManagement, Production, and TrainingIndustriesServices for Renewable Energy and Manufacturing
