Job description

Maximize the use of process equipment and personnel to ensure timely delivery of quality products.

Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).

Maintain a safe working environment for all production staff.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the production function.

Manage and coordinate all production personnel including regular meetings with machine setters.

Promote a culture of quality and performance excellence.

Set and monitor production targets (e.g. s rate absenteeism cycle times).

Control budgets and monitor overall profitability.

Oversee scheduling and optimal utilization of all injection moulding machines and related equipment.

Ensure timely procurement of raw materials.

Enforce compliance with production documentation and procedures (e.g. flow charts setting sheets inspection protocols).

Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organization.

Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure adherence to procedures and quality standards.

Develop production plans based on customer releases and demand forecasts.

Identify and implement improvements in processes tooling and equipment.

Assess training needs and conduct staff training as required.

Support inventory and materials management during stocktaking and monthend procedures.

Act as the General Managers delegate in their absence.

Collect analyze and report on production performance data.

Support internal audits and compliance with ISO 9001 : 2015 standards.

Participate in corrective actions and continuous quality improvements.

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement quality procedures.

Drive adoption of qualityfocused work practices.

Ensure achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the team.

Monitor and report on relevant data and performance statistics.

Comply with company policies procedures and budget constraints.

Undertake additional duties as reasonably required by senior management.

Work Environment & Conditions

Fastpaced environment with a variety of products and processes.

May involve afterhours support for urgent production issues.

Exposure to lead alcoholbased chemicals solvents and cleaning agents.

Collaborates with : customers department managers machine setters warehouse teams and production operators.

Requirements

Legal & Logistical :

Valid Code 08 Drivers License

Must be a South African citizen

Experience :

Minimum 5 yearsof experience in injection moulding machine setup and optimization

At least 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience

Background in plastics manufacturing preferred

Technical Skills :

Strong problemsolving and analytical skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint; database experience is advantageous

Skilled in reporting document filing and data organization
