Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing employees on the use of all tools, equipment, and resources; ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  2. Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and guidelines to uphold quality expectations of customers and the company.
  3. Identify training and development opportunities for production foremen and their teams and monitor progress against KPIs.
  4. Ensure all standards and customer commitments (i.e., safety, waste reductions, output, etc.) are followed within the plant.
  5. Apply WCM AM methodologies to ensure continuous improvement of Yield and Availability in line with the annual budget, including deployment of AM projects and use of basic tools in the workshop.
Is This Job for You?

The ideal candidate must have a Degree (BSc, B.Eng.) in Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, with 5 years' experience in a Production or Process discipline within a continuous process manufacturing environment, and 3 years' experience in a management or leadership role.

Knowledge of and ability to work within ISO and OSHAS systems is required. Computer literacy and WCM experience are essential, especially for internal applicants. Strong communication skills are necessary, and experience working in a unionized environment will be an advantage.

To Make Sure Nothing is Forgotten

Responsible for managing and coordinating direct reports and manufacturing activities, utilizing systems knowledge of product function, WCM methodology, procedures, and machine and equipment capabilities.

Provide leadership and direction to the manufacturing facility, including overseeing plant production, materials, equipment, and tools to ensure efficiency is maintained and projects remain on schedule.

Maximize Yield, OEE, TE, and EHS performance; minimize unplanned stops, breakdowns, and HERCAs through continuous improvement methods, technology, equipment, materials, and collaboration with key stakeholders.
