Weekly reporting to the National Fresh Produce Manager in CPT. Executing efficient and accurate ordering and expediting orders. Expediting stock requests and communicating requests with depot personnel for minimum stock levels. Participating in stock takes and monitoring stock levels of fresh produce and packaging at the depot. Overseeing the financial system, e.g., Sage.
Ensure accurate financial execution of procurement, assemblies, and sales orders. This also includes monthly stock takes with count variance targets. Prioritising tasks and managing time correctly to complete daily tasks timeously. Addressing and investigating customer complaints. Adhering to all internal control policies of the company as well as legislation pertaining to hygienic practices. Upholding and working according to all internal and external safety guidelines.
Sourcing new suppliers (farmers, growers, or materials) and setting up grower contracts. Liaising with Cape Town for merging of optimal stock procurement. Managing the production team according to company standards by ensuring productivity and desirable work ethics. Identifying opportunities for process optimisation and implementing innovative techniques to enhance productivity and yield. Cultivating strong partnerships with suppliers and staying updated on industry news, new products, and emerging trends.
Managing quality through documentation, NCRs, etc., as well as waste management with set targets.
