With your strong planning, communication, and troubleshooting skills, you are eager to take on a leadership role where quality, compliance, and client satisfaction are paramount.

What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)

You'll manage the full production function of a modern water treatment plant, including overseeing a dedicated production team, maintaining quality and quantity KPIs, and ensuring safety standards are upheld. You'll engage in continuous process optimization, manage stock, and maintain detailed records on operational performance. Regular client interaction, feedback reporting, and plant health monitoring will also fall under your scope. This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys both technical challenge and strategic responsibility, with legal representation responsibilities and direct reporting to the Operations Manager.

Where you'll be doing it

Our client is a leading environmental engineering organisation recognised for its high-performance water reclamation and treatment facilities. The company is deeply committed to operational excellence and sustainability, creating a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional growth. You'll be based at the Emalahleni Water Reclamation Plant, a flagship site in South Africa's industrial heartland.

What you'll need

You'll hold a BSc in Chemical Engineering or a National Diploma (S4) in Chemical Engineering, with over 5 years of experience in advanced water treatment. You'll have technical exposure to softening, ultrafiltration, and reverse osmosis processes, and a sound understanding of plant health and asset management. Previous leadership experience is essential, alongside strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Your strengths lie in process troubleshooting, ethical leadership, and effective client relationship management.

What you'll get

You'll be part of a pioneering team working in a mission-critical water infrastructure setting. The role offers a competitive salary, the opportunity to work on cutting-edge treatment processes, and the satisfaction of contributing to environmental sustainability. You'll gain access to professional development opportunities and a collaborative, forward-thinking work environment.
