Responsibilities (not Limited To The Below)
The Production Manager’s primary function is to manage employees and various operations within the Production Division. The duties will include but not be limited to:
- Manage timesheet and attendance records.
- Motivate the team.
- Ensure resources are used effectively to maximize productivity.
- Check that all machinery and equipment are safe and in good working order.
- Report all faults to the necessary departments.
- Plan daily commodities.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Identify the need for preventative maintenance of machinery.
- Plan processing of materials for specific requirements.
- Attend safety and production meetings.
- Facilitate Health & Safety Toolbox Talks.
- Ensure PPE regulations are followed before work begins.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations as per the department's safety file.
- Ensure all Employees’ Written Task Procedures are up to date, explained, and understood.
- Verify operators have necessary licenses and permits.
- Maintain general housekeeping standards.
Qualifying Experience
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
- 2 – 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of maintenance planning.
- Knowledge of production planning.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- Willingness to work overtime and night shifts as required.
- Experience in physically demanding environments is advantageous.
