Job summary

Tiger Brands in Crown Mines, South Africa, is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to operate, monitor and maintain production machinery safely and efficiently to achieve daily targets and quality standards.

You will participate in preventative maintenance, enforce health and safety standards, perform sanitation and housekeeping, complete shift reports, and respond quickly to mechanical or electrical issues with corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Computer literacy and basic software use.
• Knowledge of manufacturing practices and quality standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills (English).
• FETC/NQF level 4 or Grade 12 required; experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in continuous process operations, with mechanical exposure.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery safely to meet targets and quality standards.
• Participate in preventative maintenance and condition monitoring.
• Enforce health and safety standards and complete sanitation and housekeeping duties.
• Prepare daily operational requirements with available raw materials and utilities.
• Make decisions on line in case of mechanical/electrical issues and report deviations.
