ClayHR Inc. is seeking a General Assistant / Forklift Driver to keep the production plant area clean and compliant with food safety standards in Swellendam, Western Cape, South Africa. You will perform filtration tasks, monitor controls, sample oils, and document lab analyses to ensure consistent quality oil output.

The role requires integrity, teamwork, and flexibility, with prior related experience advantageous. Location: Swellendam, Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Previous related working experience advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Filtration of crude oils on canola- and corn bleaching lines.
• Monitor all process control parameters to assure effective production runs.
• Sampling of the filtered bleach oil.
• Capture on the lab system for analyses.
• Follow up on results and make necessary adjustment to get the quality oil out.
• Monitor pressure gauges on leaf filters and control filters.
• Report deviations in filter bags to the refinery operator/Production Manager
• Report all defects on plant to the refinery operator/Production Manager
• Remove disposed tonsil from leaf filters to skids, empty trollies by use of spade.
• Change the leaf filters if necessary.
• Assure that the leaf filters are moved to wash bay for cleaning.
• Inspect leave filters after cleaning and before installing into the filters.
• Full responsibility for the refinery forklift, inspection, cleaning and deviation report.
• Housekeeping: Cleaning of all plant equipment, plant area and walkways.
• Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks
• Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management
• Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
• Attend safety education and refresher programmes
• Comply with safety policies and procedures at Soill
• Distribute safety information as and when required
• Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times
