SUMMARY

A large meat processing company has an opportunity available for a Production Supervisor with experience in the meat processing environment. Required : A strong knowledge of abattoir operations and food safety protocols as well as proven leadership and staff supervision skills.

POSITION INFO

• Tertiary qualification is essential, combined with at least 5 years' experience in similar environment
• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the abattoir, ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety standards
• Coordinate slaughtering processes, meat inspections, packaging, and dispatch
• Maintain compliance with veterinary, food safety, and health regulations
• Manage abattoir staff, including shift scheduling and performance monitoring
• Monitor the inventory of supplies and ensure timely replenishment
• Maintain accurate records of production and inspection outcomes
• Liaise with veterinary officers and other regulatory bodies
• Enforce proper waste management and environmental compliance
