KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to):
- Organise, resource, and manage the production operation.
- Successfully execute the production plan to meet production deliverables and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, and that all compliance requirements are met.
- Directly lead, manage, and motivate staff in the Production Business Unit, including performance management, developing team potential, and managing relationships to align with the company ethos.
- Plan, formulate, organise, control, and direct personnel and production activities by eliminating process waste to maximise outputs and improve efficiencies.
- Ensure the delivery of quality products within standard requirements.
- Maintain and enforce quality procedures in the production plant and ensure quality control checks are completed as per standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with other managers to ensure smooth interdepartmental operations.
- Propose amendments to improve processes and ensure production data is recorded timely, efficiently, and accurately.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed Grade 12 (Matric) or similar NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Completed a 3-year tertiary qualification in Engineering, Production, or a related trade certificate.
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in a fast-paced production environment within a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Good understanding of quality standards, H&S regulations, and performance evaluation concepts.
