Purpose of the Job:
Interacts in quality circles to represent Body Shop and ensure common goals are achieved and overall quality targets are met.
Key Accountabilities:
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets considering TPU and budget.
- Ensure quality targets in Body Shop are achieved.
- Contain problems to prevent transfer to internal or external customers.
- Achieve own department headcount and budget targets.
- Plan and execute succession planning and personnel development.
- Drive continuous improvement in technical availability and UPH performance.
- Ensure timely execution of TPM and preventative maintenance for high technical availability.
- Implement robust technical problem solving.
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Continuously improve processes to optimize resources, plant condition, and ergonomics.
- Maintain high motivation among direct reports and staff.
- Enable teams and staff to meet targets.
- Cascade information effectively to achieve targets.
- Maintain proper work organization.
- Adhere to all standards and procedures.
- Work according to Collaboration Management System principles.
- Achieve quality targets both internally and externally, including DPR, RMU, QZS, QZF, Geometry of BIW, and HOP.
- Keep maintenance schedules updated and perform TPM and preventative maintenance as planned.
- Meet daily production volume plans and develop systems to achieve 15.5 UPH consistently.
- Meet budget and headcount targets with a 5% year-on-year improvement; control non-personnel costs within tight parameters; minimize overtime.
- Achieve TPU targets for direct reports with continuous improvement.
Impact on Innovations and Changes:
- Encourage supporting departments to develop solutions to increasing targets.
- Promote intelligent use of systems and technology for cost-effective results.
- Foster skills transfer and system use to improve productivity, quality, and transparency (e.g., Smart maintenance, PPZ, SAP).
Education:
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent Higher National Diploma.
- Extensive experience in a Body Shop environment.
- Experience in Management.
Work Experience and Leadership Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in an automotive production plant.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role such as Process Leader.
Additional Skills:
- German proficiency is an advantage.
- Ability to manage challenging technical situations calmly.
- Ability to simplify complex topics for organizational understanding.
- Good communication skills.

- OHS Act legal liability.
- Environmental management standards.
- Health and Safety site standards.
- Incident investigation.
- Risk assessment.
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001 standards.
