Job summary

Elchemie seeks a Chemical Engineering professional to lead continuous improvement of water treatment processes and maintain rigorous process documentation. The role involves client-facing reporting, risk management, and hands-on operational support to sustain safe, efficient plant performance.

You will drive on-site process changes, monitor plant health, and coordinate with the production manager to optimise costs and ensure treatment quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of working experience in water treatment processes with proven improvement initiatives.
• Experience with Mine Impacted Water treatment processes.
• Experience operating and monitoring membrane filtration processes.

Responsibilities

• Continuous improvement and optimisation of processes.
• Maintain effective administration and control procedures.
• Detailed monitoring, record keeping and reporting on all aspects of the processes.
• Attend and manage client feedback meetings and reporting, and ensure client satisfaction.
• Monitor plant health and proactively intervene to ensure optimisation.
• Effective reporting to the production manager.
• Lead on-site implementation of process changes.
• Deliver on process-related inputs required on projects in accordance with engineering standards.
• Identify and drive optimisation and cost-saving initiatives.
