To operate as a business support for stakeholders by analyzing, communicating, and validating requirements of changes to production business systems within the business unit. This involves investigating business systems, understanding business problems, and identifying solutions to enable the bank to achieve its goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g., staff surveys).
- Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives aligned with business strategy (e.g., Green Strategy).
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and systems, recommending effective ways to operate and add value to Nedbank.
- Implement solutions effectively to realize financial benefits by minimizing system errors and inefficiencies.
- Ensure business system product specifications are accurate, complete, and aligned with standards and requirements, including user procedures, technical specifications, and business requirements. Review and recommend improvements.
- Develop trusting relationships with internal stakeholders through proactive communication and ensuring product and process design meet business specifications.
- Collaborate with vendors and external/internal stakeholders to configure trading systems and resolve production issues.
- Support the achievement of business strategy, objectives, and values by executing Nedbank and Business Unit plans, ensuring system, process, service, and solution alignment.
- Identify training and career development opportunities for self, completing activities within set timeframes.
- Share industry knowledge and trends during formal and informal interactions.
- Obtain buy-in for developing new or improved operational processes by highlighting benefits.
- Maintain and update process and procedure manuals for relevance and completeness.
- Ensure work is completed on time by adhering to project plans and timelines.
- Manage end-of-day processes to maintain business trading systems.
- Resolve client queries by understanding products, processes, and systems, ensuring compliance with operational risk standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- BCom in Information Systems/Finance/Investments or BTech in IT, Engineering, Maths, Business Analytics.
- 2–3 years supporting trading systems.
Exposure and Skills
- Interacting with diverse stakeholders and understanding various market value chain businesses.
- Managing cross-functional teams and building stakeholder relationships.
- Analyzing data for design and implementation, managing multiple projects, and effective communication.
- Knowledge of Money Markets, FX products, finance basics, and risk minimization strategies.
Technical/Professional Knowledge
- Governance, Risk and Controls
- Industry trends, Microsoft Office, Project Management principles
- Regulatory knowledge, Data Analysis, Financial Markets and Instruments
