Role Overview

As a Support Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the operation and security of all products, ensuring clients have secure communications and optimal performance across systems. This highly technical position involves responsibilities such as administering and troubleshooting systems, implementing security measures, and providing end-user support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, maintain, and resolve issues related to ICT systems and networks
  • Perform system updates
  • Collaborate with other IT functions to ensure system reliability and security
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of ICT technologies including Email Messaging, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, DHCP, DNS, and networking protocols
  • Security Fundamentals: Understanding of network security protocols and practices
  • Other Skills: Problem solving, communication, analytical skills, attention to detail, project management, teamwork, adaptability
Educational Background and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related fields
  • Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, Microsoft, CompTIA Security, or relevant network certifications
Experience and Technical Skills
  • Prior support and network administration experience (medium to advanced roles)
  • Familiarity with operating systems including Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, iOS
  • Experience handling server and network equipment, monitoring and management tools
Compensation

The salary range is R20k to R25k per month, based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
