Minimum requirements

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in supply chain management (FMCG or direct selling advantageous)
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capability
• Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills
• Ability to perform under pressure and manage deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and strong command of English; additional African languages beneficial
• Leadership and team management experience
• Ability to travel within African markets when required
• Understanding of cultural differences and business practices across Africa
• Strong interpersonal skills, resilience, adaptability and proactive problem-solving
• Ability to work in a high‑pressure environment with multiple priorities and prolonged computer‑based tasks

Key responsibilities

• Conduct demand forecasting and supply planning for multiple African markets
• Analyse sales trends, stock levels and lead times to maintain optimal availability
• Monitor sell‑by dates, transport times and manufacturing lead times to prevent shortages or overstock
• Oversee the logistics process for imports and exports across African countries
• Ensure compliance with national legislation, customs regulations, and product standards
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agencies and regulatory bodies for timely deliveries
• Manage procurement of raw materials and finished goods
• Negotiate pricing and contracts to secure cost‑effective supplier agreements
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Collaborate with Warehouse and Pharmacist teams to ensure accurate stock and regulatory compliance
• Work with marketing teams on labelling and country‑specific packaging requirements
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 48 direct reports, ensuring high performance under pressure
• Implement stress‑management strategies to support productivity
• Utilise advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and process optimisation
• Develop KPIs to measure supply chain performance and identify improvements
• Prepare reports on product availability, sales trends and operational efficiency for senior management
