About The Role

As a Marketer – Product Specialist II, you’ll be part of a team of self-motivated, high achieving sales professionals and you’ll drive WesBank Asset Based Finance full product offering to new customers in the KZN region to provide client support from a product perspective.

Successful candidate will be based in Acacia House, Umhlanga (Office based – 5 days).

Are you someone who can :

• Manage costs / expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies
• Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions
• Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SME’s, project managers and senior staff members
• Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments industry best practices and provide proactive advice and solutions to stakeholders
• Translate strategies into actionable goals and execute relevant projects / initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress
• Implement and maintain sound business processes that minimise risk and deliver quality requirements specifications. Findings that arise from internal or external audit and client management and risk.
• Initiate and manage product research, data mining and quantitative analysis to ensure sustainability and future competitive growth
• Explore local and international markets for new business products and trademarks to expand and strengthen the business's market position
• Facilitate the conversion of knowledge and ideas into new or improved products, processes, and services
• Manage own development to increase own competencies

You will be an ideal candidate if you :

• BCom minimum qualification (Degree will be an advantage)
• 3+ years’ experience in banking (commercial)
• Services / Banking industry experience
• Knowledge and understanding of asset base finance
• Strong track record as highly performing sales individual
• Generally motivated for Sales (Hunting and New Business development) and highly energetic with good time management

• Good understanding of asset-based finance (ABF)
• General knowledge of financial and leasing including systems, applications, and banking practices
• Requires expert negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Analytical skills are required to determine client business needs and requirements.
• Ability to remain calm under various levels of pressure.
• Ability to show established track record.
• Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally / externally)
• Travel is required (within the KZN region)
