Product Specialist [S4]

The Role:

Acquire customer satisfaction by installing, repairing, inspecting and commissioning service, considering economical and other aspects. Advanced problem solving by use of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing operational or process problems; with the ability to apply this knowledge appropriately in various situations.

Key Performance Areas:

1. Advanced repairs and inspections of products and equipment of different kinds, at customer site or own premises.
2. Report and document results after above actions.
3. Responsible for planning and capturing of scheduled maintenance.
4. Execution of planned/unplanned maintenance work on underground mining equipment.
5. Use experience of tasks, tools and procedures associated to provide technical support to the sales team and customers.
6. Support the customer’s products/equipment/processes by suggesting possible improvements to more advanced technical solutions and products.
7. Take into consideration energy efficiency, environmental impact and maintenance costs when giving customer support.
8. Produce positive results in sales-client interventions.
9. Guide and train colleagues in service methods and tools.
10. Share own knowledge to enable colleagues to expand their knowledge.

Your Profile:

1. Section 13 or 26D Trade: Mechanical / Electrician / Millwright (trade to be accompanied by proof of apprenticeship)
2. Trade certificate as a Millwright will be advantageous.
3. Experience with PLCs, CANbus, ethernet, automation/navigation equipment, Wi-Fi and Fibre Optics.
4. Advanced training in hydraulics will be advantageous.
5. Relevant mechanized mining experience (5 years).
6. Underground/surface mining environment.
7. Maintenance of earthmoving equipment in a mining/construction environment.

Notice Period:

Notice period on all positions is 20 working days from date of resignation, unless otherwise agreed to by managers.

Health Requirements: You must be physically and medically fit to work in a mining environment including meeting all customer vaccination requirements. Attach the vaccination certificate to the application.
