Personal Care Worker - Home Care Katherine (part-time)

About the role
We have a new opportunity for a qualified and experienced Personal Care Worker to join our Home Care Team in Katherine, NT.

This role is available on a part-time basis working 24 hours per week on the fixed roster of Monday, Tuesday and Fridays – 8am-4pm.

Your role as Personal Care Worker will see you travelling to people's homes and providing care and support within the consumer's home environment, undertaking cleaning, bed making, personal care including grooming, showering, mobility and assisting with meals.

You may also be required to assist with social support, taking consumers to appointments and shopping.

Skills & experience
As the ideal candidate, you will bring previous experience in either Aged or Disability care. You will be comfortable travelling to people's homes to provide this care and able to retain a fully insured and reliable vehicle. You will have a caring and understanding approach, whilst also able to understand a client's care-plan and delegated services provided by their My Aged Care funding. You will enjoy travelling to people's homes and providing a service with strong customer service attitude and respect.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, we do ask that you submit your resume and cover letter addressing the following requirements: Certificate III or above in Aged Care, Individual Care, Disability or Home and Community Care. Demonstrated experience in assisting with the activities of daily living in a community or Home Care setting preferably, however, not essential. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and both verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage and work within a culturally diverse team environment. An ability to undertake a range of manual handling functions related to the role. Personal registered and insured vehicle.

ARRCS mandatory compliance
It is mandatory for all ARRCS employees to have the below prior to their commencement: You must have or lodged a National Police Check within the last 3 months. Provide evidence of current Influenza Vaccination. NDIS Workers Screening check received or lodged.
