Job summary

Uyandiswa is seeking a Product Owner to represent client business interests within Agile delivery teams, maximising value delivered through each sprint and release. You will own the product backlog and work closely with stakeholders and Scrum Masters to ensure solutions meet business needs.

Responsibilities include defining the product vision and roadmap, prioritising the backlog, writing user stories, and validating increments against requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Product Owner/Business Analyst/PM role.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Experience with backlog tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap in alignment with client strategic objectives.
• Own, prioritise, and continuously refine the product backlog based on business value and stakeholder input.
• Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
• Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the delivery team.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to guide iterative delivery.
• Validate delivered increments against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
• Certified Product Owner (CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent) advantageous.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related product management role.
• Demonstrated experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of backlog management tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Sector experience in Financial Services, Energy, Manufacturing, or Consumer Goods advantageous.
