JOB PURPOSE: The Product Manager (PM) will oversee the entire product life cycle of Schauenburg's Legacy Portable Gas Detection and Environmental Monitoring Systems, from concept to market release and beyond.

This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in product management, a deep understanding of the mining industry, and a passion for advancing safety technologies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, business, or a related field. Proven experience (10+ years) in product management, preferably in safety or mining-related technologies. At least 10 years of experience in the mining industry. Deep understanding of gas detection instrumentation, systems, environmental monitoring, or related safety technologies. Strong project management skills with a history of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Product Strategy and Vision: Develop understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitors. Define product vision. Formulate product and market strategies aligned with business objectives. Derive product requirements from market needs and strategy.
2. Product Development: Collaborate with engineering, production, and QA teams. Coordinate R&D to ensure alignment with industry standards.
3. User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX): Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments. Coordinate testing and trials.
4. Project Management: Create and maintain project plans. Prioritize tasks, manage resources, and address roadblocks. Document configurations, requirements, and testing results.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with customers, internal teams, and partners. Communicate updates and foster collaboration.
6. Quality Assurance: Implement testing protocols. Work with QA to address deficiencies.
7. Market Launch: Develop go-to-market strategies. Collaborate on product messaging. Support proof of concepts.
8. Post-Launch Monitoring: Monitor product performance. Gather feedback and implement improvements.
