Job description

Job Objective : Our client within the automotive industry is currently looking for a Product Manager to work closely with the Product team across multiple brands, ensuring the effectiveness of the overall Product department.

The candidate will be a key member of the Product team, responsible for delivering key outputs effectively and efficiently.

This role covers all of the company's international car brands.

The function for multiple brands will be shared within the team. When a specific brand requires resources, the candidate will support accordingly.

This position is not limited to a single brand; the candidate will undertake responsibilities assigned by the Product Head or Product Director. To succeed, the candidate must analyze market and customer trends, prepare and analyze customer research data, among other duties. Ultimately, they will ensure their area of responsibility aligns with business objectives and contributes to the company's long-term success.

Responsibilities :
  1. Gather insights on market trends, customers, and competitors to prepare for product rollout and manage the product lifecycle.
  2. Prepare and analyze customer research data to create customer profiles and insights.
  3. Manage the Product Lifecycle, including ownership of the product roadmap, performance monitoring, configuration, volume mix, and pricing proposals.
  4. Support all departments to improve sales.
  5. Assist with launch rollouts, including PR content review, website specifications, dealer bulletins, product launches, and POS materials.
  6. Prepare dealer and sales support tools.
  7. Monitor prices and competitors, providing recommendations.
  8. Present data in graphical or tabular formats.
Job Requirements :
  • Matric
  • Business-related tertiary qualification (advantageous)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a product management role, specifically within the automotive industry.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical mindset.
  • Experience with data gathering tools, including desktop, survey data, or software/web-based systems (e.g., Jato, Lightstone).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
