Job Title: Product Developer (CPM & Fish-based Products)

Job Location: Western Cape, Cape Town

Deadline: May 07, 2025

Responsibilities
  • Research, develop, and formulate CPM & Fish-based products.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, test, and scale up products for commercial production, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Assist in coordinating internal and external stakeholders during pre-trial meetings and supplier briefs.
  • Formulate and test prototypes focusing on texture, flavor, and nutritional content, ensuring compliance with health and regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot formulation challenges, optimize recipes for cost efficiency and scalability.
  • Document development processes and prepare reports for stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma in Food Technology, Consumer Science, or similar; a Degree in Food Science or B-Tech in Food Technology is advantageous.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Food-related FMCG environment, preferably in R&D.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Computer literacy in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sensory data and nutritional information.
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for food products and labeling.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
