Product Developer

A well-known company in the food manufacturing sector has a vacancy for a Product Developer. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills – both verbal and written, be proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and have the ability to manage time and projects independently as well as be a collaborative team player.

POSITION INFO: Responsibilities:

1. Upgrade and develop new innovative, cost-effective & factory-oriented products for the site.
2. Help drive & initiate profitable growth of allocated categories through innovative product development and upgrades.
3. Project management of critical path with various teams to enable successful launches in line with customer agreements.
4. Customer presentations: Professional product presentations, delivering & exceeding customer expectations on product quality and documentation.
5. Clear and timely communication: both with the customer and In2Food colleagues.
6. Ensuring NPD recipes and documentation are captured and up to date as per given timelines.
7. Ensure new products comply with the relevant legislation.
8. Ensuring relevant customer documentation is completed and updated.
9. Local and global market awareness: constantly aware of the market, trends & competition.
10. Identifying gaps.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or Degree in Food Science / Technology or
2. Degree in Consumer Science or
3. Degree in Culinary Science.
4. 2-5 years work experience as a Product Developer.
5. Experience within a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
