Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a skilled Product Data Engineer for a banking client in Stellenbosch. You will design and develop data-driven applications and contribute to data architecture to meet product line requirements.

You will analyze business and system data, support solution design with MIS/ETL capabilities, and collaborate with architects on data warehouse projects, cloud and AWS-oriented environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 6 years of MIS/data warehousing experience with relevant 3-year qualification.
• Experience with relational data warehouses (SQL Server, Oracle) and ETL/orchestration tools.
• Testing methodologies and quality assurance practices.
• Ideal: Cloud environment, AWS tech, data analysis, orchestration technologies.

MinimumRequirements:

Purpose Statement

• To contribute to the design and development of new applications / systems to meet the business requirements of the product line environment.
• To analyze business or system requirements and data to enhance understanding of the product line environment.
• To participate in and provide input to the Architect during the compilation of solution design documentation for new and existing products and systems.

Education (Minimum)

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Data Analysis

Education (Ideal or Preferred)

• Certification in Data Warehousing

Experience:
Minimum:

• At least 6 years of proven experience within management information systems (MIS) | data warehousing | data transformation information systems/systems analysis together with a relevant 3-year tertiary qualification

OR

• At least 6-8 years of proven experience in management information systems/system analysis
• A relational data warehouse e.g. SQL server, Oracle etc., and tools that enable ETL and orchestration.
• Testing methodologies
• Quality assuring work of others
