Job description

PRODUCT CONSULTANT

Job Summary:

To create and increase brand awareness through maintaining pricing, shelf health, promotions, training of in-store sales consultants, and building strong customer and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
  1. Ensure product availability.
  2. Check for and manage damaged stock process.
  3. Ensure accurate pricing, including promotional and competitor pricing.
  4. Manage demo software on all live devices effectively.
  5. Train store staff.
  6. Engage with shoppers.
  7. Assist and support store sales staff to drive sales versus competitors.
  8. Implement and maintain POP material as per client brief.
  9. Identify promotional needs to increase sales and negotiate with store managers.
  10. Increase product share in terms of floor and shelf.
  11. Negotiate for prime store positions.
  12. Drive slow-moving stock and allocate space to fast-moving stock.
  13. Implement promotions according to head office and client requirements.
  14. Maintain stock levels and purchase orders (POs).
  15. Ensure effective administration and timely, accurate reporting.
  16. Manage assets and equipment.
  17. Utilize handheld devices/system for reports, feedback, and returns process.
  18. Communicate execution details and exceptions to relevant parties and gather feedback.
  19. Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  20. Practice effective self-management.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • 2 years' experience in Telecommunications and Consumer Electronics
  • Driver's license and reliable vehicle (preferable)
