Job description

Act as the custodian of the product on offer, with the aim of developing the product in respect of growth in market share and profit.

Ensure that all facets of Product & Contracting are managed, whilst at the same time managing cost with the aim of achieving a profit.

Work closely with many different departments, bringing them all to together and as a resultant contributing to the companyâs revenue and profit.

Effective procurement of product and inventory to meet demands as identified by market needs.

Ensure increased growth in market share and profitability through negotiations.Â

Establish and fulfil the business objectives and submit a Product Strategy to support these objectives.Â

Manage the Product Assistant to fulfil the turnover budget assigned to the business unit.

Develop a product business plan in conjunction with the CEO to support and achieve predetermined passenger and profit targets

Successful negotiation of tactical and campaign buying, including allocation and override commission.

Successful management and implementation of product strategy and the achievement of annual growth and profit targets for your product business unit

Product Manage the product range, by means of destination and supplier research, override agreements and communication to all departments in respect of your strategy, to ensure that the marketing and brochure content and sales promotions are in line with strategy, to stimulate projected sales

Maintain, improve and share product and technical knowledge and resources and facilitate product training interventions and support those who are serving our customer

Requirements :

Travel and Tourism Diploma / Marketing Qualification or Business Management Course

Knowledge of Travel requirements : Tour Operation (essential)

At least 10+ Travel Industry experience in a marketing or travel management position

At least 5 years Product Development experience

At least 2 years management experience

Excellent global geographical knowledge particularly of the countries and resorts relating to your product

Experience in negotiating, reading, understanding and interpreting contracts

Understanding of nett, gross rates, margins and calculating selling prices

Understand supplier contracts including fare rules, terms and conditions and policies.
